Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Government of India, Trombay, Mumbai, has released Advertisement No. 3/2026(R-V) for the BARC Research Associate Recruitment 2026. Applications are invited for 56 Research Associate (RA-I / RA-II / RA-III) Fellowships to work on various R&D projects in the fields of Chemical Science, Physical Science, Polymer Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Biotechnology and related disciplines. The BARC RA application is offline only and the last date for receipt of application is 24 April 2026.

Key Details:

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant fields such as Chemical Science, Physical Science, Polymer Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Biotechnology or allied disciplines. Candidates must have Ph.D. in the specific discipline required for the respective R&D project.
• Special Note for Project No. 21: B.Tech / M.Tech / B.E. / M.E. in Electronics / Computer Science is acceptable for technical projects.
• General Requirement: Candidates should be Indian Nationals and meet the academic criteria as per the detailed notification.

Stipend Details:

Note: Selected candidates will also receive House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Contingency Grant as per BARC rules.

Selection Process:

The selection is on the basis of the following steps:

• Screening of applications based on eligibility and project requirement
• Personal Interview

Eligible & Interested candidates must apply offline only in the prescribed application format.

1. Read the official notification carefully and download the application form from the BARC website www.barc.gov.in.
2. Fill the application form neatly with all required personal, educational and project preference details.
3. Attach self-attested copies of all necessary documents including photograph, signature, Ph.D. certificate, mark sheets, experience certificates, ID proof and category certificate (if applicable).
4. Send the completed application form along with documents through Speed Post / Registered Post to the address mentioned in the official notification.
5. Ensure the application reaches BARC on or before 24 April 2026. Keep a photocopy of the submitted application for future reference.
